About us
A San Diego sewer contractor that looks before it quotes
Sewer laterals and under-slab drains, across the City of San Diego and the county from Oceanside to Chula Vista. Camera inspection before any quote, trenchless where it saves you the driveway, open-trench where it's honestly cheaper, and the state license the work requires.
How we work
The camera comes first. No repair beyond a clearing gets quoted without a recorded camera run, and you get the file. If the line is fine, that's the whole bill.
We price the options, not the answer. If a spot repair and a liner would both work, both are on the quote with the trade-offs written down. Nobody should have to guess which one the contractor wanted to sell.
We only dig where there's no better way. Trenchless lining and pipe bursting are the default on any San Diego lot where the lateral runs under concrete, and that's most of them. Open-trench is the default under lawn, because it's cheaper there and we'll say so.
No pressure, no deposit on repairs. The price holds for 30 days. Sewer problems are stressful enough without a decision-today discount, and the pipe will cost the same on Thursday as it did on Tuesday.
We camera it again when we're done. Every liner, burst and spot repair gets a second recorded pass so you can see the finished pipe, and lining and bursting carry a written workmanship warranty.
Licensing and insurance
California requires a CSLB license for sewer lateral work: C-36 plumbing or C-42 sanitation system. We carry it, along with general liability and workers' compensation insurance, and we'll give you the license number to check on the Contractors State License Board site before we start. Any sewer contractor San Diego homeowners call should be able to do the same in about a minute. If they can't, or the license belongs to someone who isn't doing the work, that's your answer.
Replacement work needs a permit from the city or the sewer district and an inspection before backfill. We pull the permit and schedule the inspection on every replacement, including the right-of-way permit for anything under a City of San Diego sidewalk or street.
What we don't do
We don't do foundation repair, general plumbing remodels or landscaping. If the slab has moved or the water line is failing, we'll say what we see and you can take it to the right trade. We don't sell sewer line insurance San Diego homeowners get offered in the mail, and we'll tell you honestly what those plans do and don't cover if you ask.
